Opening Ceremony + Keynote: “The Future is Edutech”

Activities: Opening remarks, setting the theme, Q&A.

Objective: Kick off with an inspiring address on how technology is transforming education and shaping the future of learning.

Speaker: A prominent figure in edtech or innovation (e.g., startup founder, education reformer).

Session: “Design Thinking for Tech-Savvy Education”

Objective: Introduce participants to design thinking as a tool for solving education challenges with technology.

Format: Workshop style with real problem statements from schools.

Outcome: Teams create a prototype idea to work on during the initiative.

Workshop: “Coding for Social Impact”

Objective: Teach basics of coding (Python or web-based) with a focus on solving real-life issues in education.

Audience: Beginners and intermediate learners.

Tools: Scratch, HTML/CSS/JS, or Python notebooks.

Panel Discussion: “The Digital Divide – How Can Youth Bridge It?”

Objective: Discuss tech accessibility, challenges in rural and urban schools, and student-led solutions.

Panelists: Edtech entrepreneurs, student innovators, rural school educators.

Hackathon Kickoff: “Wagitech Innovation Sprint”

Objective: Teams use tech to solve challenges like:

AI for personalized learning

Virtual learning for under-resourced schools

Gamification of education

Format: 12–18 hour sprint across Day 3 & 4.

Mentorship: Experts on hand to guide participants.

Hands-On Lab: “IoT & Robotics in the Classroom”

Objective: Practical session building simple IoT or robotic tools to support education.

Tools: Arduino, Micro:bit, sensors, mobile app integrations.

Project Demos + Judging

Objective: Teams pitch their Hackathon solutions to judges.

Criteria: Innovation, impact, feasibility, presentation.

Format: 5-minute pitch + 3-minute Q&A per team.

Closing Session: “Wagitech Legacy & Award Ceremony”

Objective: Celebrate the work done, give awards, and announce next steps for continuity (e.g., incubation, mentorship).

Inclusions: Certificates, guest remarks, team photos, partner appreciation.
